Compliance & Certifications
Harlem Fire Safety Service LLC operates in full compliance with the NYC Fire Code and FDNY regulations. Our personnel hold the required Certificates of Fitness for all fire guard operations.
Citywide Fire Guard for Impairment
The F-01 Certificate of Fitness is issued by the New York City Fire Department and is required when a fire protection system (sprinklers, alarms, standpipes) is out of service. After 4 hours of impairment, only F-01 certified guards may legally perform fire watch duties in New York City. Our team holds valid F-01 certificates for citywide deployment.
Residential & Shelter Fire Guard
The F-02 Certificate of Fitness authorizes fire guard coverage in residential buildings, homeless shelters, supportive housing, hotels, and any facility with sleeping occupants. Our F-02 guards are trained to monitor sleeping areas, patrol exit routes, and respond rapidly to fire emergencies overnight.
⚠️ NYC Fire Code Alert: Uncertified fire watch is treated as NO fire watch by the FDNY. Buildings with uncertified coverage may be subject to immediate evacuation orders and heavy fines. Always use certified fire guards.
